4 out of 5 stars Woah calm down people!!!   November 4, 2008

I recieved my wii power play charger and it was in a yellow and blue box with competition pro on it and the heading advanced charging station. So no this isnt a offical nintendo wii product but if you look closely at the product which is being sold it isnt sold as an OFFICAL product. I must admit i had to look twice when purchasing. As for its not what is shown in the picture, yes it is. It is different from the offical product but what is shown is what you get. The only issue there is the box and the title on the box.

As for using the product it is very easy to use, mine the controllers fit in perfectly and i dont need to have it on a slant. A few people have had this problem and i would of thought these were just "dud" products and they need to be sent back.

When charging i must admit it did take a long time, it took about 4-5 hours. Also the red light continued to be lit even when they were charged. So yes this isnt the best working product you can recieve. I havent had any problems with the controllers not working after charging, however leaving them on charge over night ISNT A GOOD IDEA. From my best knowledge this will over power the controller but maybe im wrong.

Overall this is a good product and works well, however there seem to be alot of problems with them so maybe it is worth paying that little extra for the offical product.

It is a very good charger suprisingly
it charges pretty well and the life is quite good
can get a bit aggitating when they dont sit exactly in the slots but you just have to fiddle a little bit
+ saves you from buying 10000000 batteries!

Maybe I got a dud, but I found this to work fine for a few months, and then it decided to pack in and no longer charge the batteries.

This is a brilliant item. I am now saved from picking up my controller to find out my batteries are flat.
